Group Rides

All of the HMBA’s chapters host weekly group rides. Our board meetings, fundraising, bench cutting, weed eating, rock moving, bridge building, and tree sawing are all ultimately  aimed at one goal: to get tires crunching over dirt. Group rides are the one purely fun task in our mission to promote mountain biking, healthy activity, and community use of our public spaces. Join us if you can. Take advantage of our parks and what they offer. All ages and skill levels are welcome—these are social rides, not races. Be sure to bring your helmet and a full water bottle (or two) or a hydration pack.

You do not have to be member of the HMBA or any of its chapters to join a group ride. One of our goals is to facilitate a community among mountain bikers in the hope that connection to other riders will help motivate individuals to get outside on the trails more often and be more physically active. Of course we do hope you’ll recognize the benefits these trails present to the broader community and look into joining as a member, but either way, you’re welcome to come out and continue coming back.

Come ride with us if you can. Meet new people. Catch up with old acquaintances.

Rides generally start up in April and stop for the season at the end of October. Visit the Facebook pages of our chapters for specifics on times and locations.
