HMBA-IMBA membership system guide

HMBA-IMBA membership.

At long last, we have (we think) tracked down the last of the memberships from the Breakdown and last year's annual meeting.  The issues were with HMBA's record keep.  So as of now all HMBA members should be shown in IMBA membership system.

The best and easiest way to join HMBA is to do it online.

1: Goto  www.IMBA.com

2: Select "Support IMBA" and then "Join or Renew Now"

3: Select your local area and select HMBA as your local chapter

Note 1:  IMBA tracks members by email address.  If you have ever been an IMBA or HMBA member and provided you current email address, you should be in IMBA's data.  If not, you will need to register

Note 2: IMBA and HMBA split membership dollars, with 60% going to IMBA.  IMBA cut covers the cost of administering membership, the cost for the regional director and many other programs that HMBA and its member take advantage of.  Donations to HMBA are not split, so if you want to make a larger contribution to HMBA please mail a check to the HMBA trail fund, HMBA-IMBA, 1427 W. 86th St. Suite 167 Indianapolis, In 46260.

If you want to check on your membership status or edit your account,

1)  Log in on the IMBA site

2) click on "edit account"

3) scroll down and select "view your memberships and contributions"

4) Check your membership's status

As Paul mentioned - "Note 1:  IMBA tracks members by email address.  If you have ever been an IMBA or HMBA member and provided you current email address, you should be in IMBA's data."

Also if you have ever used a different email address with IMBA you may be in their datebase twice (happened with me).  I was getting notices that my membership had expired but it was for the other email address that I used in the past.

If this happens you can call them (ph 888-442-4622) or email them (Contact at the bottom of the IMBA page) and they can quickly merge your two files.  You just need to tell them which email address you want to use going forward.

For them to match your two files you need to give them the email addresses you used in the past or your mailing address(es).
