Action Needed to support night time hours for Monon and MTB Trails.

The Indy Cog Update on the Monon Hours!
 
 @Indy Parks and Recreation will continue the extended hours of the Monon (5am to 9pm) to June 1st, instead of ending them on March 11th, so that they may better monitor the usage at the later hours.  Feel free to let Indy Parks know how you feel about this by contacting Indy Parks @ 327-PARK or the Mayor's Action Center @ http://www.indy.gov/eGov/Mayor/Mac/Pages/Home.aspx
 
 Additionally, there is a @IndyParks Board mtg on Thursday the 23rd in Rm 260 in the City/County Bldg @ 3:45 pm.

For those living in the Indianapolis area, the fight for extended hours on the Monon is part of the battle to extend hours at Town Run and Southwestway.  Indy Parks does not want to permanently extend the hours on the Monon, Town Run, or Southwestway.  Your action is needed to tell the City that we want to be a progressive outdoor community that isn't afraid of the dark.  Please do what you can to attend the Park's board meeting.  But at least contact the Mayor and Indy Parks and support  a 24/7 policy for the Monon.
