If you are a resident of Jennings County then you probably have heard the rumors that Muscatatuck County Park is on the chopping block. One such rumor is indeed that the park is going to be sold due to budget cutbacks. The fact is that the county is in debt and the appropriate authorities are in the process of determining how to manage that debt the best way. With that being said....somewhere, somehow the rumor about the park being sold came about. There are only two words to respond the this rumor....
NOT TRUE. The Muscatatuck County Park board members held a meeting on Tuesday with the county commissioners and members of the county council present. In this meeting, the county commissioners assured park board members that the park is not being sold and are unsure as to where that theory came from. They also stated that the park is a jewel to our community.
So....RIDE ON!

As spring quickly approaches you can rest assured that the trails will continue to be open to ride. In fact, there is a plan to add up to 2 more miles of trail by the years end! I hope that this clears the air to the rumors and gives you back that motivation to get out and ride! Hope to see you all on the trail soon!
