Trail Conditions at Winona Lake

Winona should be 100% open now.  A couple of us found some time to hit what was left and we made quick work of it.

The trails are in GREAT condition right now, except for the walnuts on the "field trail" portion.  The leaves are just starting to add up, but nothing serious.  Nothing I'd rather do during these crisp fall mornings.

Trails are currently closed due to the weather.  Warm temps plus rain on top of the freeze/thaw cycle have left the trails very wet so please don't ride them!

Winona is in perfect shape right now.  Go ride.


That being said, Rock Garden has a reroute due to a large tree having fallen.  Don't worry, something special being worked on...

Can anyone report on trail conditions here at this time?? Considering the race this weekend I'm wondering if it got hit with a lot of rain. I don't know that I'm actually going to the race but would like to know the conditions before considering it. Thanks

We got a lot of rain on Wednesday but Winona is famous for drying out quickly.  Given how dry it has been here the trail will most likely be in good shape on Saturday with just a few slick/muddy spots.

Can anyone comment on current trail conditions here? I'll be in the area for about a week starting tomorrow and wondering how the trails are shaping up or if rain has them saturated. Thank you.
