HMBA-IMBA Membership Questions (if there are any)

How long ago did he register? We were having significant SPAM issues until we upgraded our forum. I no longer have to filter out 100's of SPAM registrations, so as long as he registers with a valid email address, and from an IP in the US, he'll get in. Please have him register again, and PM me with the username he chooses. I'll make sure he gets activated.

Renewed membership along with registering for the breakdown.  Have not heard anything from HMBA.  Got a newsletter/mag from IMBA telling me that my membership expired.  Never a member of IMBA.  Have been a HMBA member for about 5 years or more.  Can you please explain the mix-up or the HMBA/IMBA think still has teething problems?

I just received a message from IMBA saying my membership expired.  I renewed through the Breakdown registration process.  Is there anything I need to do to keep current?

The Breakdown memberships got sent in to IMBA about a month ago.  I haven't heard if they got completed yet, but will check into it.

Since there isn't a HMBA stand alone membership any longer, please renew through IMBA.

I'll post up here once I receive the packet, so folks will know what to expect.

I just did.. Received my membership card and socks last week. It took about a month or so....maybe a bit more. I signed up on the IMBA web site though, not the Breakdown (couldn't make it this year). I'm not sure what the process was for those memberships.

Just to let people know IMBA extended my membership expiration to the date of my HMBA membership.  My IMBA membership would have expired 12/31/2011 but when I went to renew it I saw they changed my expiration date to March 11, 2012 when my HMBA membership would have expired.
 
That explains why I had not received any notices for renewal.

Out of curiousity, has anyone recieved any notification yet from IMBA who signed up at the Breakdown? I am sure so many renew/join through that event that it probably takes longer, especially since the merger just completed a couple of months ago.

Ok, So the memberships form the Breakdown came at a bad time in the process.  Basically they imported all all membership data right before the breakdown, so the Breakdown memberships and some lost memberships from the annual meeting are in queue to be added in a more manual process. 

I spoke with our contact from IMBA today and it is on top of their list of things to do and they hope to have the data entered soon. 

So please hang tight.

Hi Dean, the above link needs to be updated.
With memberships starting to come up for renewal, a refresher.
HMBA-IMBA Membership fee will be split 60/40 (60% for IMBA, 40% for HMBA ). 
For me, I'll be renewing my HMBA-IMBA Membership at a lower dollar level and Donating to the HMBA Trail Fund (100% to HMBA), see above link.

Paul has to set up a new one for 2012. He's pretty busy, but I'm sure he'll get to it soon.

Has anyone had to renew their HMBA/IMBA membership within the last 3-4 months?  My HMBA membership expired 6/17/12 so I logged onto the IMBA website and filled out my info and paid my dues.  I was watching this thread and it looked like it was taking 6-8 weeks to receive the membership package.  After the 8 weeks I sent them a message through their website and several days had passed without a response.  I called them on 8/28 and talked to someone and they stated that the member socks had been on back order and that I should see my package within 1-2 weeks.  Still nothing from them so I called today and the lady said that they have received the socks and the warehouse picked them up and should be shipping them soon.  She asked that I call them back if I had not received anything by next Friday.


Is anyone in the same boat as me with renewing for the first time under IMBA and still waiting on your membership package?  Or, if you have just received your package it would be nice to know that they are indeed shipping them out.  The lady today was very nice and seemed completely at the mercy of the warehouse and didn't have any control over the process.
