From Central Indiana
« on: May 03, 2011, 11:30:45 PM »
I'll be up in South Bend here in a few weeks and was checking out some trails up North. Can anyone give me a description of how "technical" the advanced trail is. What kind of obstacles does it have? Anything about the trail. I looked at the website and watched some of the videos but they dont really say much. Can anyone help? I would consider myself an advanced/technical rider.

Thanks!

We don't have a lot of obstacles a few log skinnys, an area we call the log jam that has log piles close together as to make going over a little more difficult. Private Message me and I'll try to have someone meet you out as its a little over 10 miles of singletrack with short, steep ups and not a lot of flow. But we like it. If you're staying in South Bend also check out Rum Village Pathway in South Bend, Dr. T.K. Lawless Park near Vandalia, Mich. & Potato Creek State Park which has a nice 6+ mile intermediate/beginner trail. The South Bend Mountain bike group is Northern Indiana Mountain Bike Association, their website is http://www.nimba-bike.org/ Hope to see you out on the trails. I think the weekend of May 21st-22nd is a NIMBA Campout at Potato Creek also.
I'd rather be lucky than good!
