Trails as of RIGHT now are good. Some areas are a little wet and we do have a LOT of leaf cover.....but nothing is too bad.
We are supposed to be getting rain overnight which may change things up a little for Saturday, however how much I do not know at this time.
Sunday weather shows sunny and nicer.
Hope you get a chance to get out and enjoy the trail while you are down.

Well...the weather certainly didn't cooperate.  Sunday is probably unlikely too based on all this rain.

Guess Mother Nature wants me to rest my legs.

I'll be in the area Sunday and Monday, hoping to ride one or both days...first time at The Lick, so any trail updates later today, tomorrow morning or afternoon are much-appreciated.  Looking forward to riding the blue and green lines!

Rode at French Lick today and yesterday...today I did both green and blue trails CW.  Yesterday I rode the green trail CCW.  Gotta' say CW seems to break the climbing up a little, but CCW will definitely get the heart pumpin'!
The trails and views are awesome, and the deer and gray squirrels aren't bad either!  I must say, I came within five feet of both on the trails on multiple occasions.  Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to all who have put time into building and maintaining these trails...it's much-appreciated and they're awesome!

The valley has over an inch of rain overnight and more on the way for the next several days.
Thanks

I picked up most but not all the downfall from Sunday's storms.  The green loop has two fairly large trees that are down across the trail. First one if riding clockwise is about 1/4 - 1/2 mile in. It could probably be handsawed if you have a high quality folding saw.  2nd one is approximately a 1/2 mile to a mile from the finish.  This one needs a chainsaw IMO. There's one chainsawable tree down on the blue loop as well.  It's right before the rideable rocky waterfall.  It's a big one.

The riding is spectacular right now.  You can see deep into beautiful ravines and valleys almost around every corner.  Running along the creeks and caves is breathtaking.  The leaves are down but are nice and packed.   99.9% dry.  Go ride this gem!

Thanks for the trail condition update. I will let the Resort trail crew know about the trees and locations.
Metrology has nothing to do with  weather.

Trails are YELLOW
ground temp has not been below freezing and trail under leaves is solid.
Leaves will be wet, so use caution as always.
Their are a few trees still down from last weekends storms. The resort crew has been notified. Hope to have them removed by early next week if not before.

Thanks

Trail conditions are great at FL as of 12/1/13.
There is a large tree down halfway between 10 and 11. Not too far downhill from where fire road D crosses the trail the second time.
The resort was notified, however he has been on vacation so they will be able to take care of it hopefully sometime during the week.
Unless we get a lot of rain, this is the trail to be riding right now. Hardly any mud at all on the trail, just great condition...and December of all times :)

Temps are great for winter riding at French Lick...just enough snow on the ground to allow you to take in all the beauty the trail has that we often do not noticed when it is in full bloom.
Please use caution as usual with the ground being frozen, and please report up here on the Facebook page for French Lick if you have any issues on the trail.

Temp and ground are frozen in the valley and the trail has held up nicely with the brief thaw cycle. Only a few spots that were sloppy over the weekend as we hiked areas of old issues looking for any new problem areas.
Looks like it has held up great during the winter months.
Please still continue to use caution with the ground being frozen, and please report up here or on the Facebook page for French Lick if you have any issues needing addressed pertaining to the trail.

Thanks
