Yellow
Wet spots, some under leaf cover.
Limbs down, and at least one tree that's on North Tower.

Please don't ride if the trails are wet.
Even with the lighter rain predicted the trails may get soft. With the plants and trees dormant, the rains won't be taken up. The trails will be wetter and seeps will flow more.

Yellow.
Pine loop is getting saturated, an we should look at closing the gates if we get a couple of more days of rain.

Looks like the park has had around 1.5" of rain the past couple of days.  If it's muddy, bail to a gravel or road ride.

Also Monday Nov. 30th and Tuesday Dec 1st the park is closed for hunting.

Freeze-thaw conditions.

EDIT: Trails are thawing out, becoming mud where the sun is on it.

It doesn't look like it got cold enough to freeze overnight so expect it to be too wet or muddy.

Might be OK, might have to bail to a gravel or road ride.

Yellow

There are tracks from people riding when it is too soft.  I know you want to get a ride in, but if you are leaving a continuous tire track it's time to bail out. Try a gravel or road ride to avoid trail damage.

Thanks

Freeze thaw Friday morning.  Will maybe last until 11, but the sun is out and may thaw areas quickly.

Too many don't get off of the trail when it's time, or they just don't care.  I'm fairly sure that if DNR closed the trail for it, they would keep it that way until spring an we couldn't ride even when conditions were good until then. Just speculation on that.

Until it freezes again.
Pine loop gate is closed, and I think Hobbs Hollow gate is also closed.  Please don't use the trail when the gates are closed.

Looks like it won't be cold enough to freeze solid enough until Friday.  makes for a good Christmas and the day after rides.

Red for the 24th.

If by chance it freezes overnight an early ride may be ok.

With the temperatures predicted on Friday it should be frozen solid enough to ride.

Freeze thaw again.
It was colder the last couple of days so there was more time to ride.

Even with the gate to Pine Loop closed people were riding it when it was thawed and muddy. Please don't use the trail when it's not solid.
Green Valley is one that also doesn't do well in freeze thaw, so skip it when not solid too, please.
