Walked Sycamore yesterday.  There are many sloppy spots with a few that are really bad.  Walnut is in great shape.  Sycamore will need a lot of attention to get it back to normal conditions.  The area where the roots have been removed is smooth and fast.  The section left with roots is getting worse.  This is from the first fire road crossing to the last fire road crossing off the meadow near the end going clockwise.

The park is beautiful with the wild flowers and greenery sprouting.  The green briars are getting thick already, but nothing is over the trail (yet).  I'm going to minimize the trimming this year because the trails are getting too wide.  I hope this will frame them better.  The park has indicated the staff will remove the widow maker and install a sign for the new bridge, but it hasn't happened in the last two weeks.  Hopefully, they'll get around to it soon.

I'm gone for a while - heading to the red rock country in the West.  Ann and I will concentrate on the trails when we return whenever...
Happy Trails!!!

Trails were great yesterday, even a little dusty.  The parking lot had 13+ cars for over 4 hours.  I know of 3 people who were trying singletrack for their 1st time and they all loved it!

Rode all trails today. All are still in great condition.  And fast.  New section is still a little bumpy but hard and packed in.

Yesterday (Sunday), the Sycamore Trail was yellow, and Walnut was green.  After the rain, I am sure both are red.  Sycamore is holding more rain this year.

There are some soft spots on Sycamore.  Walnut is in pretty good shape.

Rain went through the park today but didn't last long.  Suspect Sycamore will have some muddy spots but Walnut may be okay.  Be prepared to ride on the roads if the trails are too muddy.  Some rain is still in the area as on 7 pm Friday night.
Happy Trails!!!

Trails are green.  Enjoy.  New section on Walnut is fun.  Still about a little over a half mile of Sycamore that needs the roots removed, but the rest of it is smooth and fast.
Happy Trails!!!

Rain last night didn't close the trails.  Still good for now but more rain is expected in the area tonight.
Happy Trails!!!

The trails are still good as of 6 pm Friday night, but scattered rain is in the area.  Plan on working in the park tomorrow if the rain holds off and will post an update if the trails are too wet to ride.
Happy Trails!!!
