Upcoming Trail Work

(1/21) > >>

MikeHufhand:
Many thanks go out to Nick, Scott, Paul, Jay, and Bill for doing some trailbuilding on Sat.    The "sucky U" is officially gone! Hooray!

In it's place is an additional  1/4 mile of  scenic, flowing contour trail that should make the end of the lap more enjoyable.  Plus it's sustainable, which means that it is made to last, drains well, and mostly maintainance free.    Here's a preview:

Now if the weather will just cooperate with us.    Watch out for the freeze thaw effect.   If the evening temps are at or below freezing, and daytime temps rise above freezing, the trail can be real soft and susteptible to tire ruts that can lead to damage.    Several days of above freezing nighttime temps should put us in the clear.

Please ride responsibly.

MikeHufhand:
A few of us will be finishing up a reroute close to the road crossing.   This is about a 1/2 mile from the Trailhead going clockwise.    Be there or be square.   9am start.

If the weather permits, a trail ride to follow.   Might bring the hardtail for a road session if we get a bit of rain.

MikeHufhand:
Saturday's work was oh so gratifying.   The end of the trail will now officially give you a big kiss instead of that kick in the pants it used to.   The big gully or sandy corkscrew is gone and in it's place...you guessed it...sweet curvy contours like a beautiful woman.    Infact, let's just call it "Marilyn Monroe."    Also, you'll find a nice insloped banked turn we might just call the "Love Bank."

Ride On.

Any parts of the trail that you can name "Antonio Banderas" for us ladies?  You know, a section that is smooth, flowing, and cut just perfectly?

Sounds like you have more specialized knowledge of this Banderas character's unique features than I do, so I'll have to defer to you on that one!

(If you missed this week's SNL, nevermind.)
