It isn't supposed to freeze over night, but there is a chance of rain.  Not sure anyone can give you certainty.  If it doesn't rain, it should be ok later in the morning.

There are some great back road to ride South of the park, if you get there and it is too wet.

Just got home from there.  No rain overnight.  Tread is solid but roots and rocks are slick from the moist air.  Overall, you don't get much better conditions in mid December.

When you say "great shape " ...i assume you mean while they are froze solid. ..you might want to be clear on that. .i bet there's some people not understanding that

My guess is red. Live close to VSP and rain on off all day. Rode yesterday and very slick in many spots!  Shadow was even worse.  My 2$

Thanks for the response.  I figured it was too good to be true.  I will wait patiently for better trail conditions

Is there not a "report trail issue" subject for VSP? Anyway, three trees down on grandview past the gravel road climb, going ccw. And one on center before roller whoops from the top entrance.  Rain today and trail RED.

How much rain did you guys get?  Does this place dry quickly?  Any chance to ride this weekend?

They did get a lot of rain based on a conversation with a relative that lives in the area.  I wouldn't expect it to be open over the weekend, but I'll leave it to someone local to say for sure.

I live 20 miles south of VSP and we got almost 2" rain on Thursday and everything is very soggy.  My guess is trail is RED.
