What are "Dead Cemeteries"?
« on: February 08, 2019, 09:21:26 AM »
We've thrown some changes into the Death March strategy!

Death March is an adventure ride - teams of two ride to cemetery "check-points" in and around Hoosier National Forest just south of Lake Monroe (Including Nebo Ridge and Hickory Ridge trail areas)

What's new for 2019?

By the numbers:
18 possible cemetery checkpoints (available now).
5 of these never used before in Death March!
3 Mandatory announced by March 1.
2 Mandatory drawn race morning.
2 "Dead" cemeteries drawn race morning (worth nothing)!
16 minute bonus for reaching all 16 valid checkpoints!

Time bonuses and all possible checkpoints are considered final on March 1.

Very cool updates Brian, great job!

Quick question, are the “dead cemeteries” going to be “dead” for the parent/youth teams too?  I would assume so, but since the overall rules are a bit different for that group, thought I would check.

Good question!
I think that they will be dead to everyone. That will make a little bit more strategy involved in parent/youth division.
