Didn't see another place to post this so its going here.  I am new to MTB but not necessarily to 2 wheel travel (Motorcycle).  My son (12) and I have started going off the paved road around West Lafayette recently and we are both are enjoying our time in the woods.  Currently looking at getting better at not falling and see where more time dedicated to this hobby takes us.

Hi Paul,  I enjoy riding with my son.  He is now 16 and it is about the only alone time we get.  Enjoy it, I hope we cross paths on the trail on day.

Welcome to mountain biking!

Consider registrating for this years Big Woods Brown County EPIC!  This years EPIC will be October 12th-14th and will be featuring some awesome new trail in Yellowwood Forest!  Several new surprises to come too, but more on that later.  The lowest rates are until 7/16/2018.

It's at Brown County State Park.  You can see all of the details at the below.  It's for all skill levels.  It's not a race, just a ride in the woods with around 500 of your mountain bike friends.  The last link you can register.

Have you joined the Tippecanoe mountain bike association Facebook page? Lafayette has a great and friendly group of riders.

Thank you for the info.  I'll take a look and see if I can get down there.

I have joined the FB group and mailing list.   I was hoping to make the group ride on Sunday but did not get back from Indy in time.
