Crooked Creek and Miller Ridge Trail Closure!
« on: March 16, 2018, 12:23:40 PM »
There is a timber harvest in process along Miller Ridge.  It will likely be complete in a week or two, but until complete, all trails, forest roads, and double tracks East of Crooked Creek Road are closed.

This includes:

Miller Ridge, Crooked Creek, Hoosier Half Pipe, Trail D and all double tracks.

It is important that cyclists obey the closure.  Future access to build more trails is dependent on mountain bikers being respectful of State Forests complete mission (which includes timber management).

In this case, it is a salvage harvest where they are harvesting trees that where blown down in last April's storm.

The Salvage Harvest has been delayed by the rain and snow.  The trails in the Crooked Creek area are still closed.   We will update as we get more info, but the weather doesn't look good for them working early this week.

Most of the Crooked Creek area has been reopened.  The Southern end of Miller Ridge is still closed.  Please flow any trail closure signs.

The Creek Single track trail is open. It was not impacted by the Timber Harvest, but its been a while since we have been on it.  It sounds like there are several new trees down that we will try to clear this weekend.
