Indy Parks to highlight bike park expansion options[/color]

[/color]INDIANAPOLIS – On Tuesday, Indy Parks will host a public meeting to highlight bike park expansion options for Washington Park. Currently, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) offers its bike skills and safety programs for youth at the bike park, which is located to the northwest of Washington Park’s family center.

[/color]An expansion of the current 5-acre bike park would allow for an increase in IMPD’s bike programs and community outreach. Park planners and IMPD representatives will be on hand to review options and answer resident questions.

We will have our first work session this Saturday, 12/2/17, from 10a-2p.


This new trail will be outside the fenced bike park and open to the public to ride anytime.


Bring gloves, water, and your bike!  We will work and ride.

Thanks to Mike, Steve, Chris, Lee, and Ted the Trail Crew was able to make a great start to what is going to be an extensive addition to the trails at the HQ.

Looks like we may have some snow cover on Saturday morning so the Trail Crew is going to take advantage of the sunshine on Friday to do some trail work.


If you would like to come out and swing a Rhino we will be working from noon-4 on Friday.


Thanks again to everyone who helped us kick off the new trail build last Saturday.

Steve and Lee made it out and along with the Trail Crew we got another 1/4 mile of sweet singletrack  complete.


We have added approximately 1/2 mile to the outside perimeter trail in just 2 sessions!

Thanks to Chris, Alex, and Steve we got another 75ft of trail cut and 1 1/2 bridges complete today.


We are real close to being done with phase 1!

The Trail Crew will be out Saturday, 3/10, from 1pm-4pm building bridges and cutting the final 50ft of trail.  Come on out and help us complete phase 1.

This trail is outside the fence and open to anyone.
