Town Run Litigation Article

Back Ground.

in 2011 a rider crashed at Town Run on the Wood Banked turn.

He filed a lawsuit against, Indy Parks, HMBA, Alex Stewart, and Me (Paul Arlinghaus)

HMBA's insurance carrier got Alex and I consolidated under HMBA, which removed us personally from the lawsuit.

The suit drug out for a number of years.  HMBA's insurance company eventually made a settlement offer that was far less than the suit was for and it was accepted.  In short, while they felt strongly that HMBA would win the suit, it was less expensive to settle than to continue to litigate.

The City of Indianapolis had some legal advantages and they did not settle.  The link below details the suit with respect to Indy Parks.
