Volunteer's Needed - HMBA - The Ford Hoosier Outdoor Experience

- HMBA is seeking volunteers to help with the Mountain Bike event on June 10 & 11 at Fort Harrison State Park.  This is a great event and gives people a chance to experience outdoor trail riding.

- We need LOTS of folks to help set up/tear down, fit helmets and bikes to kids and adults, spot riders on our skills course, and lead small groups around Camp Glenn trail. This is a HUGE event, 20,000+ people attend.

- We need people for both Saturday and Sunday. There are 2 shifts each day, from 9:00 am-2:00 pm and 1:30 pm-6:30pm. Ideally we need 30 people per shift.

- Note, lunch provided this year!
- Feel free to sign up for more than one shift.

After reading again and seeing Camp Glenn Trail, it is at Fort Harrison.

Will the shuttles to the park be running for volunteers to get in at 9am or will we need to walk into the park.
Just wondering so I know what time to arrive to be there at 9am Sunday

Bring your bike, gear, and water (or something to hold water).  Our primary activity will be taking people on Camp Glenn trail.
 
Park at the Bean Federal Center (Finance Center) (56th and Post).  You ride in via the Service Entrance (take Glenn Rd off of 56th St.)  The Service entrance is near where the horses are located.  The DNR knows that HMBA will be riding in via the Service Entrance.  Tell them you are an HMBA volunteer.  Only HMBA volunteers will be allow to bike into the park.  You can also ride in via the Boy Scout Rd. entrance. 

Note, the Main Entrance is closed.  Only the buses traveling from the Finance Center can use the main Entrance.  Thanks!

Huge thanks to all of the volunteers that hung in there for two very long days.  This year we took over 600 people for rides on Camp Glenn trail.  That's over 1,000 miles of riding!  No wonder we are tired today.  Thanks to everyone who pitched in and we got it done!
