State Forests is holding a chainsaw class for its trail volunteers. We has some member attend last year and had great feedback. This class is great for those who want to chains saw for HMBA or even HMBA chainsawers who want to increase their skills and knowledge.

Here is the description from State Forests
This year the location will be at the Morgan-Monroe State Forest Training Center on Saturday April 29th, 2017. As with last year we will have the class go from 9am to approximately 5pm. The morning portion will be classroom with the afternoon being hands on outside. The instructors will be myself and Derrick Potts. Please have any attendees bring lunch and safety equipment (chaps, ear and eye protection, gloves, boots, hardhat and chainsaw if they have it) There is again no cost to the training. We will again try to keep the class to 20 participants over all the groups we are contacting. Please let me know of the interested individuals by April 7th.
