I think it was discussed earlier in another thread but everyone that rides the Epic will need a daily or annual mountain bike trail pass, correct?  I have an annual pass but I wanted to post here to remind everyone that will be coming from out of town or riders that only mtb during the Epic.  I didn't see it listed on the registration page or anywhere else that a pass would be needed in addition to the entry fee and gate fee.  But, maybe I missed it.

Thanks, Chris

Yes, we are ground zero for fees in Indiana.  here is the deal for the Epic

The main ride is in 3 land agencies.  State Parks, State Forests, and National Forests.

Here are the normal fees and permits required.

State parks: Entrance Fee and MTB Permit
State Forests: MTB Permit (same as state parks)
National Forest: Hoosier National Forest Permit

For the day of the ride (Saturday) You will need to pay the gate fee to get into the park and have an mtb permit.  There are daily and annual options for both.  You do not need a Hoosier National Forest Permit on Saturday (we cover that cost in our special event cost).

If you want to ride in Hoosier National Forest other than on Saturday you will require a Hoosier National Forest Permit.

You can purchase the DNR permits at the Brown County State Park gate houses or Park office.  The Hoosier National Forest passes are on sale at Nebo Ridge Bicycles.

Question:  Is the $50 Saturday Ride Only Option available to IMBA members from other states?   Or is it for HMBA members only?

Can you add Saturday night camping if you already only reserved Friday?

Companies scheduled for demos include: Trek, Giant, Specialized, Ibis, Marin, Scott and Rocky Mountain.  SRAM will be there too with their newest goodies to drool over.

Along with what "joshlion843" said,

  I am a HMBA member.

  I will register tomorrow.

I don't want anything but the ride.

I have my park pass and mountain bike pass.

  What will my total be?

Any thoughts on the dates for the 2017 Epic? Hopefully not Oct 6-8th since that's the Hilly Hundred weekend.
