Does Bobcat connect back into Aynes yet?
« on: May 30, 2016, 04:02:25 PM »
I was hesitant to start up and have to turn back around so I just took the fire road.

Thanks.

No it does not connect to aynes and won't. It will connect to the ayne conecter in time. It's a tuff fun ride up. When you get to the end either hike up the hill side to aynes conecter or ride back down.

Ahhh. By "Aynes connector" do you mean the connector between Aynes to Bobcat? So that will be two-way?

Bobcat is getting close to connecting.  Dan Oren has been busy extending the trail this winter and spring. The map above approximates what has been built.  Lots of finish work on the latest stuff, so expect a rugged narrow trail with tight ravine crossings. Look for some volunteer days later in the summer to finish.

Great map - is the brown line the fire road?

Is there any plan to make the section of the fire road that connects the bottom of Bobcat to HP an "official" trail? I think it currently gets enough traffic that it is already well worn.
