Fort Harrison Trail Building Updates 2016

Also, in regards to bandit trails - last night while riding I think I saw the same trail Splinter is referring to.  It also goes to the right at pipe dream.

That is a trail that people from the neighborhood have worn in over the years.  Been there for quite awhile.  Not worrying about it.
I saw the other trail when riding on Thursday.  I'll check it out more next time I walk SC.

What's the status for tonight?

I haven't made anything official, one do to weather, two I have a dentist appointment and not sure if I'll make it there by 5:30-5:45.  Not sure if Huff or someone else wants to lead a session. 

If anyone wants to trim back face slappers or take the weed wacker out they can do that.  I know the short section of trail on SC where you come out on the old hiking trail, just after the rock garden,  and then duck back into the woods could use some weed wacking on it.  It's also referred to as the Bat Cave.
I'll post up if I can make it tonight.

It's supposed to rain on and off all day.  Any chance of a work session tonight (6/22)?  Even if it's weed whacking or whatnot?

Depends on the weather.  With the rain we have had and more expected, it would be best, right now, to stay off the trails completely.
We'll have to see how the rest of the day goes.

Work session this Wednesday, 29th.  Will be repairing the connector bridge to Schoen and cutting out the last tree after Snake Creek.
Meet at the gravel lot 5:30 to 6.

Weeds could use some BHC (Brutal Hateful Care).  If anyone has a weedwhacker, some free time, and the desire to be appreciated, by all means go out and destroy some greenery.

Don't ask me "where" though.  Just go ride a lap and pay attention to where the claustrophobia kicks in.

Work session July 13th.  Meet at gravel lot 5:30-6 pm.  I plan on moving rock with the ATV to a spot just off the first old hiking trail that close to our next big project.  We'll need quite a bit of rock to fix a lot of spots.

I did my best to hack away and weedeat the meadow/pond area around the top of Schoen. I also cleared that small area of trail entering the batcave as I believe its called. I'm sure its far from perfect but it should feel a little less claustrophobic. That was an exhausting two and a half hours but I'll feel a little less guilt on my next lap. I'm sure I can do this kind of thing from time to time so I'll try and get out there more when needed. Let me know if I goofed up anywhere.

Lets try this again.  Work session Wed. 20th.  Meet 5:30 to 6 PM at the Camp Glen parking lot, down by the walnut grove on the west side of the park.  We will be working closer to that end armoring some trail.
I have the rock staged near where we will be working.
