Will be working on the trail this evening, Wed, 13th.
Meet at the LC/gravel lot 5:30ish.
Looking to rock armor some more sections near the sledding hill.

Work session this Wednesday, 20th.  Meet at the gravel lot by the LC connector 5:30-5:45ish.  Will be working again behind the sledding hill.

Thinking of moving some rock to areas where we need them.

I was thinking about it earlier in the day, but my motivation waned quickly during an unforeseen "tragedy" at work this afternoon.

Moved some rocks we had along the trail to places where we need them.
Trail is in very bad shape in a lot of places...and it's not from bikes.

Weather permitting, which doesn't look good, we will have a work session on Wednesday, 25th.  We will be working up by the barracks on a reroute and moving some rock over to dream pipe.
Meet at the barracks, 5:30 to 6, if the weather holds out.

Join us this Wednesday at Fort Harrison State Park for some Trailbuilding fun. We'll be meeting at the Lawrence Creek trailhead at 5:45pm. Bring sturdy boots and frame of mind! We'll be moving rock and playing in the dirt. Come join us. All are welcome!

I noticed some new but well ridden-in trail heading off SC today, doesn't look like our work.  At the top of the climb from Pipe Dream where the trail bends right at a big tree with exposed roots, the bandit trail goes off the left side just after the turn, heads downhill over some logs, then continues toward the creek bottom.  I didn't walk all the way down to see where it lands.

Sound familiar?

I'm don't want to make assumptions .. but am I OK to do some trimming at the entrance to SC up top?  I can't make the 'official' work days - but would like to help  I don't have a weed-eater, but I can catch the face slappers.

Also, in regards to bandit trails - last night while riding I think I saw the same trail Splinter is referring to.  It also goes to the right at pipe dream.

Feel free to get the face slappers. Better yet, do you know how to identify honeysuckle? If so, cut the bushy tree down 6 inches from the ground, drag it away from the corridor, and then spray it with roundup. That way, it's permanent. Thanks!
