Old foundations on Schoen Creek trail

About 2/3 through Schoen Creek you ride through an old foundation of one or two buildings seemingly in the middle of the woods... What were they?

I think those are the remains of the an old sewage treatment facility. Or so I have heard...

I heard it was an ancient Indian burial ground.

That's what it is called but not what it is. The area around it clearly has old settling ponds for a water treatment facility. The foundation we ride over was probably a pumphouse or control shed of some sort for that facility.

Pillbox sounds much cooler of course.
