Hi Everyone!
Our next event is our Bike-O Saturday, August 22,at Explore Brown County. Riders use map and compass to locate controls (in any order) on the Explore Brown County property. Some controls are easily found and/or reached, and count for single points. Others are difficult to find and/or reach and score multiple points. Maps will be distributed at 9:00 a.m., and riders are released at 9:30. Riders have three hours to accumulate as many points as possible. You may ride solo or with friends. We also have a "Tireless" category for your friends who might like to try orienteering but don't like/want to ride. Details at pantingdeer.com
You do not have to stay out the entire three hours. If you just want the fun and challenge of orienteering for an hour or two, come on out and enjoy! Orienteering has something for everyone.
This will be a low key, fun event and will operate rain or shine. All profit will be donated to the Columbus East High School ocean science class for their annual field trip to Seacamp in the Florida Keys.
Remember, eXplore Brown County has camping, zip lining, paintball, canoeing, and ATV and buggy tours. Make a day or weekend of it with your friends and/or family. Hope to see you next Saturday!
