Officially the park is still not opened. But the trail needs to be ridden. I don't think that it will open until next year with all the work that is left to do. I don't have the power to tell you not to Ride it or to Ride it but it needs to be used.

Just rode and it is awesome. Not a long cross country trail, but all the wooden features and berms make it a big playground. Teeter-totters skinnies wallrides...you can tell it was professionally built.

There is also a loop around the the hill on the Southside of the park but the landscapers planted grass seed over the trail so it is over grown.

i live about 2 minutes away and see cars with bike racks parked there a lot! it takes a lot not to pull in and go for a ride!  are all these cars just people working the trail in or are they people that shouldn't be there? how do I get a pass to "work the trails in"?   ;D

Riding walls are perfect.  If you have enough speed you can easily hit it the whole time.  It takes some practice. Super fun place to ride!!

My wife and I rode Flat Fork Creek tonight and there were 4 other mountain bikers and a backpacker. Glad to see the trail is being used and people are enjoying it

I can see the park from my house.  Anytime someone wants to ride I would like to test it out.
If I buy 1 more gun I'll be on the special list!

Just rode here this morning. Lots of berms and obstacles to ride with 2 walls. Also a small XC trail through the woods. Very cool ride to hit the Fishers area.  ;D ;D ;D
kjsayers I plan on riding here again this Saturday 29th late morning time if you want to ride.

I'm so pleased with the positive post about Flat Fork Creek. We have put a lot of work into it and that makes it all worthwhile. We ride there usually 4 times a week and do trail maintenance also. If anyone wants to Ride anytime in the evenings just hit us up and we Will be there. I'm going to weed eat the outer ridge trail so there will be more miles to Ride. Again thanks for all the positive feedback back Rick and Chris

Finally after months of no work being done they have started work on the parking lot getting paved. Hopefully they will be able to get the grass cut this season. At least there is progress being made in the rite direction.

Made out out again today to ride at Flat Fork Creek trail. Looks like Rick M started weed eating up the south hill for more trail and ran out of string. Only made it about 20 yards. Rick if you paint a line or mark posts where the trail will run on the hill I can help weed eat since it is so thick on the hill. Just keep me posted if you can mark it so I know that I would be cutting down the right line.

ATinman thanks for offering to help with weedeating the ridge. I'm currently recuperating from a bike accident the other night and just got permission from the Town of Fishers to get the weeds down so we can ride it. It is very thick and my weed eater wouldn't touch it. So if you are willing to give it a try I can meet you over there anytime that is convenient for you and show you the trail. If you would just post time and date and I will be there. It will add around 3/4 of a mile to the current trail system. Thanks a lot for the help and look forward to meeting you Rick

The other day I tried to ride around the "open land" trail that seemed to be there a couple months ago. I think this is what you guys are talking about opening up.
It seems like not only is it overgrown, but it's very rutted from erosion. Would it make sense to use some sort of mini-excavator or small dozer to grade and remove weeds at the same time? I'm not sure how it was built in the first place, but the same equipment would do the job quite quickly, I'm sure.

Rick M I can be there at 11 am tomorrow Tuesday the 1st. If you can make it.
I will bring my weed eater and gas. Are we allowed to pull in the construction entrance to work on the trail or should I park on the road?
