Herman and John, form Progressive Trail Designs have started construction of the trails at Flat Fork Creek Park.

I will be organizing some volunteer days in the next couple of weeks to support them.

We will be looking for a Trail Crew Leader for this part to maintain the trails.  Anyone interested can shoot me a PM or come to one of the work days.

Here is a map link to the new Park. http://mapq.st/1QjAyC7 It's hard to miss with that big sledding hill sticking up like a sore thumb...that would be the one you hit on a tree when you came around a turn too fast-again.

Looks cool - I haven't been able to make it out yet due to work schedule.
Just a few things out of curiosity...
Any ideas if / what costs there might be? (Entry, pass...)
Hours of operation (night time for example)
Would this be expected to be a little more resistant to rutting in the winter?
Is it a loop, or does one head up to a high point and ride down?

There is no entry fee to the park. It is a one way trail with a skills section in the middle. The entire trail was compacted so it dries really fast and hard so it should not rut very easy. We had a 5 inch rain go thru here one night and 2 days later the entire trail was dry. Hopefully you can get out soon and Ride the trail. You can PM me and I will meet you and show you around.

Originally it was supposed to be a Spring 2015 opening?

The park is still not opened not sure why but the trails are done and ready to Ride. There has been no work over there in at least 2 months. So if it opens this year I Will be surprised.

You are welcome.   The track is a lot of fun with multuple features, banked turns and pump areas.  The two riding walls seem a little on the steep side and its really hard to stay on them.  Riding multiple times in a row with definitely get the heart pumping.  Still lots of fun.
