Howdy

I've been trolling the forums for a little while... but since I've been riding a lot more frequently, I figured I should just join.

I usually frequent Southwestway since it's just down the road. I still consider myself a beginner rider and I'm riding a Specialized Hardrock 26.

Anyway, just thought I'd say hi and introduce myself.

Welcome, kaepos!

FYI, ric gives great guided tours of SWW. I have ridden there a good bit but I have come to rely on him for navigation. If you can put up with his snarky comments he is generally good company.

FWIW, you've been lurking, not trolling.  ;)  if you had been trolling, you'd have been banned by now.  ;D

SWW is a good park to live near. One of the quickest to dry out in the Indy area after wet weather. I've been riding there a lot this spring because of that fact, as I live closer to Ft. Harrison, which has spots that stay muddy LONGER than just about anywhere in town.

Welcome aboard!  The MTB'ing community is a pretty cool and diverse one, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.  Make sure you hit as many of the different trails as possible as they all offer something a little different and keep things interesting.  Also, if you ever get a chance, join one of the trail work days.  It's a great way to meet other MTB'ers and learn a ton about the sport as well.  Look forward to seeing you out on the dirt.

Hahaha, duly noted. Yeah, it's awesome to have a really nice park to ride. Thanks to everyone that maintains it.

Thanks [emoji1] I've been looking at other places to ride now that my confidence level is going up. I rode Avon today and it was definitely different... looking at going up to Town Run and Ft Harrison within the next couple of weeks.
