Volunteering includes free camping, some beers and music, and Juggs meal on Sunday (I think you have to work at least 6 hours).  I'm not sure if we'll get a free T-shirt this year.  I've been volunteering for 4 years now, and it's a really fun weekend!  And I don't ride in the event either...

P.S. - There are some group rides on Saturday afternoon that are more casual that I'm sure you would be comfortable riding...

Quick question for this weekend....

In the past my wife and kids have joined me in the camping area on Saturday night to hang out, grill, etc. and then gone home to warm cozy beds that night. They have never registered for the event to do this, and it sounds like this year the registration fee is more for the entire event as opposed to just a ride.

Are "guests" still welcome in the camping area on Saturday night? Or is that registered participants only?

Thanks! Looking forward to a good ride and lots of fun.

That is fine. If you are registered, your family can hang out with you.

Was this event at one point going to be a race? Trying to figure out why it was on my race radar:-) Either way looks great.

The Epic/Breakdown has never been a race, always a great gathering of mountain bikers, riding for fun on the most excellent trails of BCSP and beyond. I've enjoyed this event for the past 8 years, regardless of the weather - the people, the demo, the food, the beer, the music, the trails are great. Everything for this year's new and improved Epic makes it even better. Nebo Ridge is back!
Cheers to Paul and all the HMBA volunteers for making this a highlight of my mountain biking year!

Nebo is back?! That's the first I've heard that! May try to go a little farther than first planned...

The sun is out and the Demo area is filling up with cool bikes to ride.  The forecast for the weekend is great.  Sunny today and only a 40% chance of evening showers on Sunday.  If you were on the fence waiting to see the weather, come on down and join the fun!

Those of you who chickened out because of the rain Friday missed a killer event.

Thanks for a great event.  My son and I had a great time, as always.  See you next year!

Thanks HMBA for another great event.  Thanks especially to Kirk and the rest of the Crooked Creek sag volunteers for the burgers, brats, and homebrew.  They helped me up that monster gravel climb!

Hey, I didn't get my t-shirt at the event. Are they mailed out or do I need to go pick it up somewhere?
