Chris King hub conversion
« on: March 29, 2014, 08:26:30 PM »
The more I learn, the less I know!  Bought a 1 yr old 29er wheelset with CK SD ISO hubs.  I have the front conversion figured out, but need advice on the rear:  It`s 142x12 now and I need to go to 135. I obviously need a new axle, but should I go with the CK FunBolts,  a 10MM thru axle like a Hadley bolt-on or a 10MM QR like the DT RWS?

my wife's bike has DT Swiss RWS bolts (9mm front and 10mm rear) and they're very nice.  I have not used any of the other options.

I have the Hadley thru bolt and the CK axle conversion kit.  The rear end is notably stiffer.  Torque is 110 inch lbs on the bolt.  The nuts are a compromise.

You mean the Hadley nuts are not good, or what?
