It says nothing about how many miles the ride is.

The last 2 years it has been about 10 miles or so.  Easy riding on the road and paved trails.

We have done this every year to celebrate our son's birthday.  It's a super easy ride, so bundle up the family and head out for the fun!

Just over 7 miles this year and we will be heading east this time.  There were just over 500 registered a couple weeks ago so should be a great time.  See you all there!

I didn't get a hold of a road bike to borrow, so it looks like the Driver8 will be getting a workout. At least Indy is flat.

Not sure a skinny-tired bike will be the best option given the current weather conditions.  My commuter is well-suited for this weather, but mtb's will probably be a better option than most road bikes.

HMBA will have a table at event. Look for us upstairs in the City Market.

Looks like real polar bear weather. Over 900 are signed up and they are expecting over 1000.  The more mountain bikes out on Saturday the better.

Nate, no worries on arriving with skinny tires here!
My skinny tires are 2.4 Rubber Queens, but will be on 2.5 Minions.

I see there are bike racks around, but they are sure to be full. Any bike check area or the like for the event? Taking the bike with me in the City Market would probably be frowned upon.

I was reading that Pedal and Park will have more racks available.  I don't recall them having a bike check last year, but there were racks everywhere and bikes leaning up against everything.  Looks like there are somewhere around 1,000 registrants.

FWIW, I have brought my snowy bike into City Market with me before.  Although it was at night and the only place open at the time was Tom Tap.
