I hae that same pair of shoes and I love them. They fit and feel better then my shimano ones and I have road about 900 miles in them this year and no problems with them so far.

The Specialized BG Comps? From what I've read... my worries are that the seams won't hold up long or the ratchet will either break or come entirely undone from the shoe. If I can get a year out of them from trail riding and racing I will be happy. If all else fails I think they have a 1 year manufacturer's warranty.

I have a pair of shimanos that were given to me by hocky, not sure how long he used them before I got them, but they are great in my opinion!!
I put around 2000 miles on those shoes.  They're holding up much better than my Sidi's are.
