Several people have asked me if they can just come to some parts of the Summit.  The answer is yes, but you must be registered for the Summit to take part in any sessions or activities.  The Cost to register is $50.  The $50 covers HMBA's cost to host the event.  There is a lot of entertainment and free beer to make the event worth the $50, in addtion to all the great sessions and trail building training.

Please spread the word for the event.

One great side benifit from the summit, is that we are hosting trail building training sessions on the HP Bowl trail.  So we will end the weekend a lot closer to having a new trail at BCSP.

For those doing the Dino Race, it will still be worth registering for the Summit and coming out on Saturday night and watch the Schooner Shakedown, take part in the post ride party at Big Woods, maybe even jump in the Strider Bike Race.  Then come out Sunday for the trail building work shops.

Couple of questions---
1)  what are the topics of the breakout sessions on Sat.?
2) At 9:30 and 10:30 it says "Sessions" (plural) so are there two or more sessions at those times?  Topics?
3) Will there be specific spots for spectators at the Schooner Shakedown or do we just wander and find a good spot?  Will the race use the entire trail?
4) When the Sunday schedule is finalized it would be nice to know the topics for that day too
Thanks!

1.  The topics for the Breakout Sessions are listed above.
2.  Here is the breakdown of those sessions:
Saturday: Session 1, 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
~ Room A: Creating Memorandums of Understanding
~ Room B: Bike Parks, Ski Resorts and Flow Trails
~ Room C: Building Better Clubs

Saturday: Session 2, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.
~ Room A: Show Me the Money - How Chapters raise money for destination trails
~ Room B: Engaging Local Retailers
~ Room C: Women in MTB Advocacy

Saturday: Session 3, 12:30 -1:30 p.m.
~ Room A: Great Lakes Chapter Leadership Round Table
~ Room B: Youth Round Table

Saturday: Session 4, 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.
~ Room A: Statewide Workshop - Action Planning Meeting/HMBA Annual Meeting

3. There will be several locations along Schooner for spectators.  If you are wanting to be on the trail you should be in a spot by the time riders begin at 5 p.m.   We will have CORA Mountain Bike Patrollers along the course to tell you where to go.  We are only using the section of trail from Ogle Rd (just below Walnut Shelter) to the trail intersection of Schooner/Walnut closest to Hoosier's Nest.  A map is available on the Schooner Shakedown website in the FAQ.

4. Sunday will offer Advanced Trail Building (working on the new HP Bowl) as well as a mountain bike skills clinic (sign-up day of.)

Hope this helps!
