I think in the am you would be fine to ride. Hard to say what happens late in day if we get any bright sun.  Snow we got is perfect to ride in i imagine not wet at all

Trails are frozen, but in horrible shape.  Extensive freeze thaw damage done by careless riders on Lenape, many more new seeps have developed after this past rain event, so there will be lots of repairs to do when the weather lets up.  Trail status will remain RED or BLUE for awhile.  Also, extensive flooding on river bottom, with river water coming in from both north and south ends of the park.

Indiana never fails us in the weather department:  Winter weather in late fall, then spring weather on the first day of winter.

Went to SSW this morning and Dave's right...the trails are in horrible condition!  The trails around the parking lot are a bit deceiving and we're really firm, as soon as you come to an exposed section of trail it gets greasy.  I turned around after going about 100 yards and rode the perimeter which was also sloppy.  I did eventually walk most of the old section and saw several places where someone had left some really deep ruts.  By the way, when I arrived at SSW it was 29 degrees and the trails were not rideable.  The ruts I saw will be there for a long time so we need to use discreation when riding this time of the year!

Frozen this morning, but as mentioned, lots of ruts.  Several from bikes, but also footprints and deer tracks.  Disappointing to see it on the new trails as well.  Tree down (~12-16" diameter) across trail before last bridge/levee going CW.  Also, bridge and surrounding area after log skinny (going CW) covered in ice and not rideable (walked it).

I was there Tuesday AM, attempting to trail run. There was a lot of uneven ice. Too difficult to run so I hit the roads. I'm sure the ice is still under there, but the new snow cover since then might make it alright for riding. Watch out for rough, slick spots lurking under the powder.

Definitely frozen (along with me, too!)...6-9" of snow on hills in some areas from drifting, along with it being powdery, made it slow-going.  More of a balancing act & hike-a-bike than a ride.  I only rode the multi-use trail, but would assume the others are the same.  The first pass & laying down fresh tracks was the hardest.

Laying down fresh tracks is the best!  And yes, also the hardest.

We rode it yesterday at 11, and 90% was good. The rest was pretty deep drifts, some so deep it was hard to hike the bike.

There spots like that at the fort today. Some drifts knee deep.

Tried to ride yesterday, no can do. However, while hiking noticed bike tracks! Impressive, was this a FAT bike?
