So what is everyone riding for this? I've ridden part of the expert trail before (east side of the park) but never the part with the Ewok Village, gap jump, etc. In the past my 29er was fine but I'm contemplating bringing the FS 26er.

I have always ridden a hardtail 29er out there and it is very do-able, but many other guys ride FS 26ers.

I'm not sure either is an advantage over the other.  Both have their strong points.

After some complaints of riders stopped on The Pier, "cyclocrossing" it will not be allowed.  This means if you are not jumping your bike off it then you must ride the ramp down and the long way around.  This will prevent backups on The Pier.  Sorry, but after much discussion on this issue, this seems to be the best solution for all.

A secondary reason is that foot traffic is erroding the landing.  Toes and heals digging in for traction on the steep slope is causing divets.  These divets turn into holes after a rain and create more work for the trail builders.
