SchoenCreek notoriety
« on: January 06, 2013, 01:19:37 PM »
I was in the AppleBees's on Pendleton Pike today and noticed a cool picture on the right as I walked in to the establishment. It is a huge photo of Schoen Creek Bridge 3 with a mountain biker on it, man was I one proud trail builder to see that. A Great job well done and a big Thank you to everyone that has made Fort Harrison State Park an Urban Mountain Bike destination in Indianapolis.  ;D

I saw that sometime last year also. I thought it looked very familiar! Very nice.
Also, I am friends with the guy in the Uncle Sam outfit on a bicycle - on the west wall of that Applebees... I like the local photos.

I want to give Applebee's karma.

My wife and I were seatting near Tom's (Uncle Sam on a bike photo) it was taken at a Lawerence city July 4th parade. I am not sure of the year. I know he did it last year because I was in the parade with the Friends of Fort Harrison State Park and DNR.

Nope, but I have put a lot of TLC in the construction of the trail and Bridge so I recognized it straight away.  ;D

The other day I was at Kinsey's restaruant in McCordsville and overheard a guy talking about running on the Ft. Ben trails, and he was raving.  I've heard others rave about the trail that aren't bikers or HMBA people frequently.  It shows the need for this type of recreation it's amazing how many people want and need this!
Sometimes the revolution is kind.
