New Trail at Obannon

Yah, going to be sweet!!!

I wasn't sure if it had been connected to the campground side yet, so I rode the fire tower, and the blue loop both directions, then came back & found the entrance to the new trail across the road from the fire tower. Was running shot on daylight & water, so I only made it out about 1.5 miles, but man oh man, the rocks & such, very impressive!

Was quite challenging first time riding it with leaves everywhere.

Awesome job everyone who has been building it!

lol  They've got my curiosity up on this place.  I found out that if you go in the summer you will be infested with CHIGGERS.  This is why I'm thinking spring.  SOUNDS like a tough place. I'm sure I'll be HIKING beside my bike allot. I"m no spring chicken anymore.
I just want to try it so I can say I've ridden it. Sounds allot like some of the Hickory Ridge trails @ Hoosier Nat.  I really hated the ones I'd ridden there.  Don't plan on going back either.  :-\
Happy Happy Happy ------- Trails that is !!!

Been riding there all summer. Chiggers were a nuisance at times, but some DEET kept it to a minimum.

The new trail is great, with many interesting features. The leaves make it even more interesting now.

Trail building and maintenance is ongoing. See the post on the Obannon page about a work day this Saturday, November 10 at 10am. Join the fun...
