I'd like to send out a big thanks to all of you who post your trail observations on our individual Trail Conditions forums. Those of us who monitor and update the Trail Status system try to be as accurate as possible, and we can't do it without your input.

We appreciate everyone's comments and all the status updates on the trails as well. For us, trying a new trail is fun, and knowing ahead of time a trail status, helps us plan even better

Is there a way for the moderator of each trail thread to control the color of the dot for that trail? We don't need access to the main HMBA trail status dots. Just something in the thread for each trail that the moderator can click for Red, Yellow, Blue, or Green. Then the main dots on the home page update accordingly through a background program. This way the moderators don't have any more access then they currently have, but can update the trail status on the fly.

Sorry if this has already been discussed. Just say so if it has and I will still be gratefully happy with the trail status system we currently have.

Yep, there sure is. I just need to dig out the instructions on how to subscribe to the system. I'll see if I can find it later today and shot it over.
