Oh no!  Looks like all of us might need to do our anti-rain dance for Sunday.  As the date gets closer the forecast is remaining firm on a good chance of rain and possibly storms.  This will be my 5th BCB and except for the cool moist year (I think 2009) all have been dry and perfect.  I know if it gets too bad we'll bail out on roads to save the trails.  Anyone out there with weather skills care to weigh in on whether they think we will slip by with just a few showers?  I don't mind getting a little wet as long as my Jugs plate at the end of the ride stays dry!

Just showers predicted,  the total rainfall amounts are looking pretty low.  Temps will be good. The park trails will be solid, the horse trails may be a different story,  So far every year conditions have been perfect except for  the first year 2005.

Either way it's an adventure,  the food will be good, there will be beer,  great people to hang with.  and  the bluegrass will be mind numbing.  Can't wait until  next year when the breakdown goes with a death metal theme!

I was hopping for a more hip hop oriented theme. honestly who likes bluegrass  ;D .
All I can say is no matter the weather bring it on, I can hardly wait another day.

Would anyone like some pictures of yourself and friends riding? I would like to practice shooting some mountain biking action to add to my portfolio.

I've been fortunate to ride in the BCB since 2007.  As a former **compulsive** runner, I can name alot of special races over the years and the times I ran.  Here's are some fun questions:

Name each BCB you've ridden, what bike you rode, and how many miles you rode.  I'll start:

2007:  2006 Mongoose Pro Tyax Comp, 54 miles
2008:  2004 Mongoose Pro Grand Marquis, 67 miles
2009:  2003 Trek Fuel 80, 40 miles
2010:  2010 Niner RIP9, 85 miles
2011:  2010 Niner RIP9, 97 miles

This Sunday:  2011 Vassago Bandersnatch, shooting for the full 100

2011 - Salsa El Mar - Made it to the cabin, then begged for a ride back (learned that free beer the night before is a problem)
2012 - Salsa El Mar - Hope to make it to the cabin and back this year

2009 - Wet slopfest to the cabin, did about 36 miles as I used the park road to cut out some of the return trails.
2010 - Got to the hill above the cabin, but had to turn around as I had a soccer game to coach.  ~32 miles.
2011 - 45 miles.  Did the full cabin and back with no short cuts.  My longest ride on a bike ever.
2012 - Hope to do the cabin plus whatever I can manage.

I may be on the oldest steed.  2001 Giant XTC NRS2.
