8th Annual Brown County Breakdown
« on: June 05, 2012, 12:56:48 PM »
(...had to get this posted before someone beats me again this year!)

Early Bird registration is now open for the 8th Annual Brown County Breakdown!

https://www.bikereg.com/Net/14906

June 1 thru July 14
$85 - Early Bird Registration

July 15 thru October 10
$100 - General Registration

October 12, 13 and 14
$125 - On-site Registration

You must register by midnight on Friday, September 29 to guarantee receiving your free t-shirt on the day of the event.  We will make every effort to have enough shirts on-hand, but because we have to guess the final rider totals, those registering after that date may have to pick up their shirt later at a location to be decided.

Youth participant ticket is available for rider age 18 and under who are participating in the 25, 45, 65, 80 or 100 mile route.  Cost is only $50 and includes camping, event t-shirt and hog roast.

This is a rain or shine event.  All entries are final.  No refunds will be given.  Registrations are non-transferable.  There will be no exceptions (it's a fundraiser ya'll!).  You must attend the event to receive your free t-shirt or commemorative items.  Helmets are required.

More info coming soon on the 8th annual event.  Keep checking www.browncountybreakdown.com for up to date information.  We look forward to seeing you a the HMBA's largest fundraising event of the year!

Awesome, one question you have 80 down as an option is that the 75 from last year or will it be a little longer this year? Just curious since it is different?  Or is it the same route?

We're still sorting out the routes (especially the longer ones) for this year.  We have a few ideas that we are still kicking around, but we'll post soon and let you know what the distances will be (approximately that is).

FYI, the browncountymoutainbiking.com link to the breakdown has most of the 2012 info but the link there takes you to the 2011 registration. It also has the price set at $100 until the event starts. My riding buddy and I went to that site first last night while out for dinner before seeing the info here.

Looking forward to another great ride this year!!

Are there any posters I might be able to hang at bike shops in my travels?

Would anyone like some pictures of yourself and friends riding? I would like to practice shooting some mountain biking action to add to my portfolio.

We do not have the posters yet for this year's event, but send an email to info at sub-9 dot com and we'll be in touch when we do get them!

Is Hesitation Point the turnaround for the 25 mile route?

Yes.  HP is the turn around point.  We'll be updating all the milages (and the website) shortly.... had to get past the women's clinic first!

Friendly reminder that Early Bird pricing ends in a little less than two weeks!  Price goes on beginning July 15.

Can I use the HMBA-IMBA part of the registration to renew my membership or is that just for new members?

Doing it while I register for the breakdown would save me one step.

Thanks!

You can renew or get a new membership,  We will process the data and forward it to IMBA after the breakdown, so if you sign up for the break down and also pay for membership, you will likely not get membership confirmation from IMBA until after the breakdown.

So if you want your membership processed faster, join separately on the IMBA site www.imba.com
