National Bike to Work Day May 18, 2012
« on: May 08, 2012, 03:39:18 PM »
National Bike to Work day is May 18, 2012.  Actually the whole week is Bike to Work Week.  And, May 2012 is National Bike Month.

Approximately 6 coworkers are planning to meet and ride to work on the 18th.  Two of us are mtbikers.  Just out of curiosity, any other mtbikers plan to ride to work on Bike to Work Day?
If you wait for good weather to ride in Indiana you will be waiting forever.

I am.  But I commute to work by bicycle regularly.  We usually get 4-6 non-regular cyclists to join in on BTWD.  :)

Three of us from work will, I am the only mtn. biker but we all commute almost every day and we ride to downtown every year for the event, but I will be on the road bike as usual with commuting.

I will be riding to work that morning, as well as staffing a table for my agency at the festivities. This means I won't be able to ride with the group from my part of town as I need to be there early. This finally gives me a chance to try out the helmet lights that I found over the winter.

I will ride to work weather permitting.  I ride to work about once a week.

No, I'm an eastsider but I used to ride from downtown to a chiropractor in Avon.

Anyone riding from South Side to North East Side? I live at Morgantown/County Line Rd (Greenwood / Centergrove) and work in Fishers. I've mapped it out a few times and it looks pretty long/tricky, but I'm considering doing it. It would be an easier decision if I found some other crazy ppl to ride with!
