Hey guys, thanks for the heads up.  Tree was removed from lower trail today.

Got it out with a Silky Zubat hand saw http://www.gemplers.com/product/146970/Silky-Zubat-330-Curved-Saw

Work crews are scheduled for 7-19.  Plan to flatten some of the leaning sections then move south to Hazel Landing Park - the next "Gateway" trail.  The work is hard.  Skill set is maybe just one step above ditch digging!  Come have some fun.

New trail coming on-line this year at 106th & White River.

Carmel Parks Dept. has granted access to Hoosier Mt. Bike Association (HMBA.org) to develop the land along the White River at Hazel Landing Park. They will build & maintain a multi-use natural surface trail. Click on the link below to become a fan.

Get in before it rains this weekend.  I got ten laps in today. Refreshing! Cleared most of the sticks.

I am happy to report that this "Gateway" trail was designed & built above the seasonal flooding.

Go for 10 laps in less than 1 hour then go home and get your girlfriend or wife & children.  This trail is built to introduce your friends to the sport.  In places, it's narrow for a beginners trail.  Some adjustments/improvements are planned.  However, sight lines are excellent this time of year and should remain so throughout our summer foliage.  Remember the Park Dept. is promoting this as a multi-use trail so please follow the IMBA "rules of the trail" and leave "no trace".

Please PM me to be on the work-crew email list.  This summer the Carmel Parks Dept. has granted us access to work the land at the Hazel Landing park.  So please contact me if you are interested in natural surface trails along White River.

Nothing like snow on the trail to illuminate the mind.

Several sections are to narrow and or have to much slope.

When conditions are better please let me know when you would like get out there and help us make the adjustments.

Thanks to the Hamilton County Parks Dept.  They cleared the leaves from the trail last week. The sign proofs are nearly complete so this trail will not remain hidden for much longer.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like to be on the crew helping with the final adjustments?

Based on feed back from "you" we made adjustments to the trail today.  Until enough tires pack the loose stuff, we will hold off on any further refinements.

Please continue to post your input

Typically we have work crews on the weekends.  I have a few tools if you prefer to work during the week? Just let me know
