Central location, population density, accessibility, friendly to all skill levels.  TRTP is perfect for demos.

I have never ridden clip-less, probably never will.  I just like being able to bail or drop a foot in an instant.

Whatever it is, it's holding the trail in place.  :-\

The section of river bank that was eroding and cracked fell last week and some washed away in this latest flood starting the cycle again.   :(

Here is a pic from July 3rd where it cracked and fell after that flood...

Same spot taken today (note the tree)...  bank vs water level in 2D is deceiving.

Well that glimmer of hope didn't last long.  :(

Trail is soaked.

Sorry I couldn't make it this year.  :-[

Town Run / Keep awareness up in parking lot
« on: May 20, 2017, 10:39:49 PM »
Tonight I found fresh evidence in the parking lot that Town Run is being used for non family friendly activities.   :o

Please keep awareness up on occupied vehicles in the parking lot that do not fit in.  If you suspect or witness anything amiss please contact IMPD.

We don't need Town Run turning in to Skiles Test Park.

I'll be there.

FYI it's a BAD tick year.  Worse than it has been in a long time.

I have a Linksys EA6350 Wifi router for sale in Indianapolis (North Side).
I bought it for $70 at Best Buy, used it for one month, but am now using a new router supplied by AT&T.
The router has WiFi B G N and AC and can transmit simultaneously on 2.4 and 5 ghz and has 4 Gigabit ports.
No advanced setup is required.  Plug it in place of your old router and log on. (in most cases)
AC speeds up to "AC1200" (867 mbps)
N Speeds up to 300 mbps (on 5 ghz)
G Speeds up to 54 mbps
 Wired up to 1000 mbps
It also has a USB 3.0 port for sharing a printer or storage device to your network.
It can be controlled and set up with a computer or free Linksys cell phone app.
** At the time of posting the printed manual is missing, will include when found. **
Price is $55 FTF in public place within 25 min of North Indy / Carmel

Town Run / Re: TRTP Trail Conditions
« on: January 28, 2017, 05:34:35 PM »
Town Run survived the wet weather and flood nicely, however it is still not ready for use and will remain closed.

There is still water at the spillway and dampness under the leaves. We're going to continue to check the condition of the trail this coming week.

A reminder, do not access the trail from any other spot when the main gate is closed.

That much paint chipping on a carbon frame would worry me a bit.

Town Run / Re: Strava Segments Hazardous???
« on: October 21, 2016, 07:11:12 PM »
There have been 2 discussions of the hazard rating on The TRTP Facebook...

No clear answer, but user posted reply from Strava support that said this...

"It looks like the flag comments on that segment mention the parking lot start/end points as a concern. They also mention that there is a duplicate segment which starts/ends outside the parking lot"

So... flagged because it starts and ends in a parking lot.

FOR SALE: 2 good used tires size 215/45 ZR 17 - 91W

I bought a used car in June and replaced all 4 tires. The rears were original, the fronts had many more miles to go so I kept them to sell.

They are 2014 dated Nitto Motivo "ultra high performance all season" tires. The size is 215 45 ZR 17 - 91W and they have plenty of tread remaining and no evidence of patching.

One tire has a small superficial nick in it, likely from a curb rub. Going from the build dates on the tires compared to the CARFAX report from the car, they have 12,000 miles or less on them

Located in the Carmel area.

These tires are $120 EACH if new.

PRICE DROP: Now $110 for the pair.

Town Run / Re: June Work Sessions: Tuesdays at 6:00PM
« on: June 18, 2016, 04:20:16 PM »
If I may suggest for the 6/21 work session we bring string trimmers.  I did what I could today to reduce stinging nettle and trail edge overgrowth in the north loop, but trail side vegetation is thick and sightlines around corners is very poor.

Also a rider said on FB the meadow growth is also very tall and hard to see going around.
