Draggon, see Ed's comment in his Oct 2nd post, above, 'Just leave the easily passable one on Pine.'

I read that as - (Removing the one on Green Valley) "just leaves the easily passable one on Pine."

No worries - I just thought it may have been overlooked.  Appreciate all you do.

Yesterday's scattered showers had about zero effect on the trails.  Still dusty!

Tree down in the middle area of Pine Loop.

Just a reminder that as of today, this tree is still down on Pine Loop.  It's good-sized and very close to the fallen tree that forms an "arch" over the trail.  Riders have created a bypass.

Mahk - Thanks, as always!

Also, major kudos to whoever chopped down Chiggerville near the old foundation/creek crossing on Aynes.  My armpits are clear this week!  :)

Sorry, meant to type “solid yellow-green”, meaning you’re not going to damage the trail, but you still need to be cautious in select spots.

Brief but heavy rain over park around 8:30 last night, but trails shed it like a champ.  Solid green with the very occasional shallow puddle.

There's a tree across the trail on Green Valley around the bend from the top of the second climb when coming from the North Tower end.  It's not huge, but it needs a chainsaw or at least a large handsaw.

Thanks for the article link, Steve.  Good article, but I got a chuckle from this line:

"Brown County became a bronze-level Ride Center in WHICH YEAR."

Obviously just a placeholder that the author meant to fill in later...  :)

Ed - as an hour-away enjoyer of the BCSP trails, I thank you for these small updates.

Hey Quad -

It's described as:

Members qualify for Dealer Invoice pricing. Special lease and finance rates may also be available to qualified buyers.

Yours sounds like it's likely better due to the incentives.  I'll definitely look you up if I get serious about it.  I'm in no hurry - I still drive the '01 F150 I purchased new...  :)

Thanks!

'Mornin', all - just wondering if anyone here has taken advantage of the IMBA Subaru discount.  If so, did you find it worthwhile?  Any other comments in retrospect?

TIA

Brown County State Park / Found: Nice Bike Light on Walnut
« on: September 24, 2018, 05:06:41 PM »
Was hiking Walnut on Sunday and found a pretty nice, intact and working bike light.  Anyone lose or know someone that lost one out there?

The ground is pretty dry.  The groin is currently frozen.   Avoid from 10 till noon while it thaws. Should have good conditions in the afternoon.

Sorry to hear about your groin.  Don't leave it that way too long, now!
