Two trees down on GV.  First is about halfway from Aynes, Shelly, GV intersection and the skull bridge, the second tree is closer to the skull bridge in the turn of the switchback.  Will need a chain saw.  Thanks!

Might even need a couple signs that say "wrong way" in case a person gets past the exit signs at the bottom of Hobbs.  Could get real messy if a hiker, runner or cyclist climbs Hobbs.

I am with you.  I have cross paths a couple times this year with this type of noise pollution.

There are two trees over foot in diameter across Shelley trail.  Both in the first half of the trail starting from HP side.  They have been there many weeks and near one tree a new trail is starting to form going around the tree.

I didn't make the rating, and I'm not there to know for certain how wet it is right now.
I would say and the red rating comment is it's because of rain is on the cautious side. From the conditions yesterday afternoon I would call it yellow due to the slippery conditions from rain unless the humidity is that high. It has been like a rain forest before and every surface was slick.

Thanks!!  I rode the trails and they were in good shape, Green Valley was still dusty in areas.  Rain in the area now so probably red.

Trails really closed?  No measurable rain in Columbus today and only .10 inch yesterday.  Hoping to get a ride in Friday afternoon before the flood comes

The air conditioning between pine loop and the camp ground is blowing hot humid air, needs fixed.

Tree at least foot in diameter fell across Green Valley.  Riding clockwise near top of downhill section before the bridge with skulls.  About quarter mile before the skull bridge.

Helmet, gloves and glasses are all I wear.  I have hurt my back a few years ago when I crashed, the tools in my CamelBak and lid of the Camelbak jabbed me.   Result was bruised vertebrae, it was difficult to move or do anything for several weeks.  Spine guard would be nice to have especially one built into the Camelbak.

3 way intersection of NT connector and Pine near the bathroom is a at least a foot diameter dead tree that fell but is leaning on another tree.  Little dangerous especially considering the number of people that cross this area daily.

Tech Bench / Kuat Sherpa 2 & Fat bike
« on: June 16, 2018, 05:00:15 PM »
Any ave the Kuat Sherpa 2 rack and carry a fat bike that can share their experience?  I want to carry a Trek Farley with 4.5” tires, looks like all I need is longer rear tire strap.  The Cradles the tires sit in do not look wide enough.  I like the Sherpa because it is only 32 pounds and bike will not contact the frame, only wheels.  Just worried about carrying a fat bike.

Hi Paul,  I enjoy riding with my son.  He is now 16 and it is about the only alone time we get.  Enjoy it, I hope we cross paths on the trail on day.

With the little rain we had today are trails ok to ride Sunday morning assuming no more rain?
