Havent looked at this website in ages, but it seems some of our trails have developed some unique characteristics. The Fort has become dbag hiker central and SWW has become crime ridden/sketchy individual central. Years ago at The Fort, I came across a hiker swingin his elbows side to side and wouldnt let me pass. I actually laughed and rode around him, but what about kids and ladies? Not sure if this is the same guy youre talking about but maybe he needs pursuaded to chill out.

Brown County State Park / Any new trail updates
« on: April 18, 2021, 10:33:25 AM »
Down there last Friday and noticed work on Limekiln return near the firetower. Im guessing its real CLOSE to being ready. Any updates on that and the other trails planned? (Weedpatch2 and HP Return)? I know they've been working hard.

Everything at BCSP is coming around nicely. As you can see the Weedpatch trail is different than designed, whats the future of BCSP? Is HP East and HP Bowl gonna happen?  Is it a plan or even possible to design a trail to go from the middle of Weedpatch to the N side of the park?

Maxxis Ardent Race front & rear. Also Maxxis Ikon on rear. If price is a factor Forte Pisgahs are great, but the old ones NOT the Pisgah 2's.

I was surprised at my knack of freeze/thaw knowledge. I rode along with what seemed liked hundreds yesterday. Most sections were perfect, but there were ALOT of slimy, sketchy sections. HH for example , the top was perfect, but at the end of the first section it was slimy as crap. Most of the bottom section was sketchy as well. I felt guilty at how dirty my bike looked, I hate cleaning but felt compelled to clean it yesterday afternoon.

Fort Harrison State Park / Re: Trail Need - Wrong Way Signs?

DTE trail (Big Kame) is a very crowded 2 loop trail system in Michigan and they pull off the rotating direction thing. I think it's needed at The Fort. System is too small, mix it up. The people will figure it out with signage

Super appreciate your hard word Goat. I understand the new trail status update is now a link to MTBproject. What it doesn't have though is the capability to banter and ask questions. I was just surprised nobody has been down there in 2 days and updated. Ill try to get down there and update if I can get down there.

First time doing Yellowood, and I can say it's kinda confusing. Then again I get easily confused!! Rode 10 o'clock trail to Miller Ridge. Went left to ride cw, when I got to lake I veered right and rode a trail that just dead ends, using mtbproject I thought I could hike to a marked trail. Boy was I wrong, that is some thicka$$ jungle!! I just backtracked and got back on Miller Ridge and continued cw back to campground, finally found safety. Looks like people are working hard, thanks to all. Single track on trail by lake is TOUGH!!
