You can rent a canoe or kayak through IU Outdoor Adentures and take it to Monroe Lake. I know there is a canoe rental north of Bloomington near Waverly that offers a livery. BCSP, Hardin Ridge, Paynetown SRA all have camping sites. As far as a beginner trail...the North Tower trail at BCSP is easy and Wapehani may be a trail to look at in Bloomington.

I walked the trail tonight and there are 2 large trees down on the lower portion of the trail near the south end of the loop. The weeds are also overgrown and need a good trimming.

I will be riding Wapehani for the first time over Memorial day weekend. I normally ride Ft Harrison, Southwestway, Towne Run and Rangeline and would like to consider myself and above average intermediate rider in skill set. I was trying to decipher the trail map that Bloomington Parks put up, but it is a pretty basic map and the trails go everywhere with what seems no rhyme or reason.
If anyone could give any more information regarding the flow of the trails and trail layout I would greatly appreciate it.
