Hey,

I know this is a long shot, but thought I would check.  I have a Black 1 1/8" Sotto Voce headset that I would love to trade for a silver one.  I would also take a silver Cane Creek 110.

I would also sell the black headset for $80.

Buy, Sell, Trade / New Ibis 29er boost wheels
« on: November 08, 2017, 10:03:53 AM »
Hey all,

I have a brand new take-off set of Ibis 938 wheels that I would like to sell.  These came on my new Ripley LS and I already had a set of wheels for it.  They have never been used and are still in the box.  These are boost spacing and have the standard shimano freehub (although an XD driver body can be swapped easily.  Great wheels with 34mm internal width and only 1900 grams with tape and valves.

Link for more info is here.

I will let them go for $325

Cheers,

Buy, Sell, Trade / ISO 27.2 setback post
« on: July 19, 2017, 03:02:21 PM »
Hey all,

I am in search of a 27.2 setback post, preferably a thomson 410x27.2 setback.  I don't care if it is black or silver.  I can pay cash or trade for a 27.2 standard thomson.

Buy, Sell, Trade / Yakima Holdup 4 bike hitch rack
« on: June 27, 2017, 02:30:33 PM »
Hey,

I have a less than two month old Yakima Holdup 4 bike rack for sale. This is the 2" receiver and can be either a 2 bike or 4 bike rack and the whole thing folds up very well. I will add some pictures as soon as I get home from work. It is like new and I still have the boxes that it came in.

I bought this for my wife and her car as she often has the kids with her. The issue is that it is a bit big/heavy for her to handle on a daily basis.  I paid over $750 for it about two months ago and spent another $50 getting all matching locks and keys for it (there are 4 keys in total). I would take $600 OBO for it all.

Cheers,
-Andrew

Buy, Sell, Trade / WTB - 26" rim brake wheels
« on: April 19, 2017, 05:27:58 PM »
Hey all,

I am looking for a decent set of 26" wheels that are rim brake compatible.  These are for a bike my wife and I use to ride with the kids and ride to the library, so they don't need to be Kings or anything like that.  I would like something a bit nicer than the cheapie walmart type replacements though.

Does anyone have anything sitting around collecting dust?

Thank you,
-A

Buy, Sell, Trade / New old stock 2013 Giant Defy 2 road bike - new price
« on: December 21, 2016, 11:18:22 AM »

I have a new old stock Giant Defy 2 in XL/58.5cm for sale. A good buddy of mine impulse bought this and rode it less than 5 miles before deciding road biking wasn't his thing. We are selling this to fund a new MTB for him. This bike is full Shimano Tiagra 10 speed with FSA cranks. This thing is in new condition. Look at the picture of the brake track and drivetrain...It is flawless. Know someone that wants a great, affordable road bike and is 6' or taller? Send them my way. Looking for $650 OBO.
Thanks,
-A

Find a Trail / Trails near Turkey Run?
« on: August 16, 2011, 03:15:56 PM »
My wife and I are heading to Turkey Run this weekend for a friends Birthday.  We will be doing some hiking and tubing while we are there.  I was wondering if it is worth taking our bikes?  Are there any trails that are nearby or on the way back that are worth riding?   ???

It looks like Avon can be on our way back to the North side.

Any thoughts on this?

Cheers,
Andy

Tech Bench / Single speed gearing for Indiana?
« on: July 07, 2011, 11:38:33 AM »
So I'm stoked to have my single speed back in the flatlands of Indiana but I'm left scratching my head a little on gearing.  It is a 29er and I ran 32x20 or 32x21 in California.  This allowed me to clear anything within reason.  This is obviously WAY too easy for Indiana...I'm just not sure where a good starting point is.  I was thinking 32x17 but wasn't sure if that would be too hard or not.  If you have found a good all-around gear, please post up!

Cheers,
Andy

Rangeline Nature Preserve / Ride yesterday...Trail is GREAT!
« on: June 17, 2011, 11:14:15 AM »
Yesterday I got off work at a decent time and decided to head to Rangeline.  I had read that Thursday was group ride night so I thought I could tag along.  I haven't ridden the trails since I graduated Ball State around four years ago.  WOW is all I can say...The trail has changed in some great ways.  I was picking mosquitoes out of my teeth on the drive home due to the grin I was sportin' the whole ride.   ;D

I used to ride the trail fairly regularly (after I found out about it) while I was in Muncie.  The amount that has changed is crazy.  The trail is the most fun, technical riding I have done since being back in Indiana.  Keep up the great work and can't wait to come back.

Cheers,
Andy

p.s.  My 29.5" bars aren't going to cut it out there.  I can't fit through some of the tight spots.

Tech Bench / Best wheel builder in Indy area?
« on: June 01, 2011, 05:14:54 PM »
So, apparently wheel building is a dying art.  I have a set of wheels on my Tallboy that I'd like a professional to check over.  They were built by Stan's and I think they are not tensioned enough.  I'm only about ~180 lbs and pushing them in corners I can feel them flex a bit.  Not bad, just more whippy then my other set of wheels feels.  They are the same parts, just a different builder.  Thanks.

Cheers,
Andy

Rangeline Nature Preserve / Riding today?
« on: May 31, 2011, 04:18:15 PM »
Is anyone riding this evening?  I'm going to be heading that way after I get off of work.  I haven't ridden Rangeline since I graduated from Ball State many years ago.  I'll be there.  I drive a bright blue Jeep and I'll be riding a black Tallboy.

Cheers,
Andy

Find a Ride / I'm back in Indiana!
« on: May 06, 2011, 03:26:56 PM »
So a few of you may remember me.  My name is Andy McMullan and I used to participate with HMBA a lot.  I'm a former employee of Mathew's Bicycles and knew many of you because I rode town run as many days a week as I could.  After I graduated college I got hitched, quit Mathew's and moved to California.  My wife and I are moving back...Well, I'm actually already back in town and started my new job.  My wife will be back after she finishes out her year teaching in Riverside.

I look forward to the trails drying out  ::) so I can see some faces out on the trails.  I'm going nuts already that I can't ride, but hopefully that will change soon.  If you see either of us please say hi.  I'm either on an all black Tallboy or an orange Black Cat SS and my wife (Candace) is on a blue/white Yeti ASR5 or a candy green 29er hardtail.

Happy trails.
Cheers,
Andy
