The annual NIMBA Potato Creek Cross Country race is Sunday June 5 at Potato Creek State Park, North Liberty IN. The NIMBA races are always fun and this year we are changing the course by adding some hiking trails and a few other twists to get to a 10 mile lap. The final NIMBA race this season is the TK Lawless Cross Country race on Sunday 9-20-15. We had to reschedule this race from May. We use the 10 miles of sweet single track at TK with a few extra miles of hiking trails to create a fun and challenging course. Come on up and ride it. More info can be found on the race page .

The NIMBA race series has been renamed the Michiana Mountain Bike Race Series and the first race is on Sunday April 26 at Bendix Woods, New Carlisle Indiana (10 miles west of South Bend). The Time Trial at Bendix Woods has been a popular start to the race series the last several years, come give it a try. For more information on the race go to the race page All proceeds from the Michiana Mountain Bike race series go to the sponsoring clubs for trail maintenance and development.

The annual Tour de NIMBA is Saturday 9-27-14. The tour is a 100K ride (not a race) that includes the NIMBA trails at Potato Creek State Park, Bendix Woods and Rum Village and connects the trails utilizing rural roads between each trail. We have great SAG food at each trail and an after party at Potato Creek sponsored by Evil Czech Brewery. There is also a 50K ride that includes the trail at Potato Creek and Rum Village. Your registration includes all SAG stop food and the after party food and beverages.For more info on Tour de NIMBA go to http://nimba-bike.org/events-2/tdn/tdn-faq/The registration fee for Tour de NIMBA supports the trail building and maintenance performed by the Northern Indiana Mountain Bike Association on trails in Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan.

Have you signed up for the Tour de LaPorte Mountain Bike Time Trial yet? The Time Trial is on Saturday Afternoon August 23 at 3PM CDT (4:00PM EDT). The Time Trial was a lot of fun last year and the course will be similar to last year. It is hard to go wrong for the $25 pre registration, you even get a T-shirt if you pre register. The Tour supports a great cause, support for cancer patients in the area. Looking for more of a challenge? The NIMBA Series TK Lawless Mountain Bike Cross Country race is next Sunday 8-3-14. For the cross country race at TK we use the 10 miles of the mountain bike trail plus some of the hiking trails. In addition to the hiking trails we used last year, we are adding some more hiking trails to the mix for 2014. Register online to save $$. The final race in the 2013 Northern Indiana Mountain Bike Association race series is Sunday 10-6-13 at Potato Creek State Park. The single track at Potato Creek is always fast and fun. We add the sledding hill to the start of the lap for the cross country race. For more information go to the race page at http://nimba-bike.org/race-info/potato-creek-xc-race/ . We are running our “introduce a friend to racing” promotion for the race at Potato Creek. Register a friend that has not raced in the NIMBA series this year and you will save $10 on your day of race registration and your friend will save $5. Beginners only ride one lap at Potato Creek and this is a great way to introduce a friend to Mountain Bike racing. All proceeds from the NIMBA series are used for trail building and maintenance.

NIMBA Series Race - The Annual Bluhn Zoom Time Trial The weather is looking good for Sundays Bluhm Zoom time trial and the Outback group is putting the finishing touches on the trail prep at Bluhn County Park (westville, LaPorte County) Pre register online by 8PM Saturday night and save over day of race registration. Remember that all times for this race are CENTRAL TIME. So everyone east of LaPorte County gets an extra hour of sleep! The Tour De LaPorte has added a Mountain Bike Time Trial race to the festival this weekend. The local mountain bike community has spent a lot of hours getting the trail ready for the time trial. If you have ever ridden the trail at Soldiers Park Trail in LaPorte you know it has great terrain. We are keeping things simple for the first race, three classes, Advanced, Intermediate and Beginner for men and a women’s class. Advanced and Intermediates will ride 2- 8 mile laps, while beginners will ride 1-8mile lap. Registration is only $20.
