Buy, Sell, Trade / WTB Strider Bike
« on: August 01, 2017, 08:27:05 PM »
My 3 year old is ready for a strider bike.  If you have one to sell, message me.  I will be at Potato Creek both days (this weekend) if you are going that direction.

Thank you

Tech Bench / Storing bikes

How do you store your bikes?  Esp with the shocks?  horizontal?  Vertical?  Upside down?

Disadvantages to the vertical / upside down options?

The best way for me to store mine would be hanging from the ceiling.  But I really don't want the shocks and hydraulics upside down for most of the winter if I can help it.  I don't have the space to store them standing properly on the ground.

Really need that "Honey I shrunk the kids" ray for winter storage!

Racing...from the novice to seasoned / Potato creek services

with the race coming up soon, what does the park have available as services?  Specifically, are there showers that can be used?  I don't mind paying but the state web site does not say.

Tech Bench / Five Ten dealer

Anyone know of a five ten dealer in the Indy area?  Wanting a set of shoes to go with my flats ... know I need to try the shoes on instead of just ordering online.

Tech Bench / Things to have on-hand!

What are the  spare "Must Have's" to keep around?  Esp if racing (and limited budget)

Just learned:  rear derailleur hanger.
Wheels are nice ... though takes more $$$ to have these.
Tubes of course.

What else?

(Guess who just discovered his hanger cracked as walking out for a ride?)

Racing...from the novice to seasoned / tires - tubeless and muddy questions
« on: December 11, 2011, 05:00:51 PM »
I'm switching to tubeless this winter and am wondering what tires folks are running that way.  Many seem to run Kenda sm8 with tubes.  But tubeless?

Other question is "what do you run when it is muddy?"  Last year's French Lick and others got me to wondering about tires for muddy conditions.

BTW, I'm staying with 26" wheels.  Going Stans.

Racing...from the novice to seasoned / Light rental?
« on: August 19, 2011, 05:27:18 PM »
Anyone know a place to rent lights?  I'm interested in the 12 hour DINO but don't have lights.  Nightrider (I think) has a program at some of the WEMS events and Aften 24, but that is a little far away.
